Description
A quick and easy salmon recipe that's healthy and flavorful, perfect for busy weeknights. The salmon is marinated in lemon, garlic, and herbs, then pan-seared to perfection.
Ingredients
4 fillets Salmon (about 150g each)
2 tbsp Lemon juice
2 tbsp Olive oil
3 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tsp Sea salt
Black pepper to taste
1 tbsp Dried or fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, parsley)
1 tbsp Butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. Add salmon fillets and marinate for 10 minutes
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter and melt until foamy
- Place salmon skin-side down (if skin is on). Sear for 4 minutes without moving
- Flip carefully and cook for 3 minutes more, depending on thickness. Interior should be rosy and flaky
- Sprinkle herbs over the fillets, turn off heat, and let rest for 1 minute
- Serve immediately, drizzled with pan juices
Notes
Pat the salmon dry before marinating to ensure a good sear.
Do not overcook; the salmon should be moist and flaky inside.
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in a skillet or oven (not microwave).
To make in an air fryer: preheat to 200°C (400°F), cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.
Substitutions: lemon juice can be replaced with balsamic vinegar, garlic with grated ginger, butter with coconut oil.
